As a clinical faculty member, Dr. Ross had several years of experience encouraging and educating young women and men to be competent clinicians. Our joint interests merged in a long-term study of women in the dental profession.
This article is a summary of our AAWD presentation. First, we summarize existing data from a variety of sources to paint a portrait of women in dentistry – their work hours and income compared to that of their male colleagues, and how women balance their professional and family responsibilities.
