A brand new patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to appear in the following days, according to developer Industries, which confirms that it will once again look to improve the matchmaking search times, as well as other multiplayer mechanics and gameplay options. The Master Chief Collection rolled out back in November of last year and millions of Xbox One owners flocked to enjoy the impressive pack that included Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4, all overhauled to work on the new console. A fresh patch is coming soon Now, a fresh update is set to appear in the following days, as confirms that it’s now in the final stages of testing and should roll out via the Xbox Live online service for Master Chief Collection owners from all around the world. According to the studio, the latest update once again tries to make improvements to the matchmaking search rate, not to mention to the general multiplayer mechanics, the single-player campaigns, or the user interface. We continue to work on additional content updates that will include added improvements for matchmaking, parties, and other top community items,” the studio explains on the official forums. Plenty of fixes are included More specifically, the matchmaking search success rates should be better after the new update, while instances of “Awaiting Privileges” matchmaking errors should appear less often. A few other behind-the-scenes improvements to the mechanics of the system have also been made, while party joining through the in-game roster should no longer cause any errors.

Any online community I’m part of, that’s my name. Though my involvememnt in many of them has been dimished of late. I spent a considerable amount of time on the old Bungie forums around the time of Halo 2 to 3. I’ve been largely inactive in the online community outside the games for a few years but recently had my interest reignited and my desire to dive back into the universe and learn all I can is intense. Favorite Part of Halo Canon: This is really tough.
Nov 20, · With this update, you’ll see better, more frequent and more informative status updates throughout the matchmaking flow – so “Players Found” for example, will be displayed to let players know where they are in the matchmaking process instead of simply wondering if it’s going to connect.
I finally beat Mission 2: Truth and Reconcillation on Halo CE for about a month and a half now. I think I’m better now on FPS games after that. This game is almost a year old, and it still doesn’t work properly. That’s ridiculous when the maps are too small for 4-v-4 Slayer, in many cases. So, it’s again stupid when you have to start a game down 2 guys and spend the next minutes getting wailed on because they won’t let other people into the game.

By Rob Gordon 3 years ago Halo: The Master Chief Collection was always going to be an immediate commercial success. The remastered collection, which was released on November 11 exclusively for Xbox One, sold over 1 million copies worldwide in its first week. The Master Chief Collection promised fans the chance to play the first four Halo titles in one convenient package. This was complete with both classic and revamped versions of the most popular aspect of the series: Even though the Halo single player campaigns have always been enjoyable, the franchise is defined by its competitive multiplayer.
It took even longer on PC, with those servers only going offline in February When the game was released, it was met with positive reviews. Unfortunately, the same could not be said of the multiplayer. At the time that reviews were written, the true problems facing the multiplayer aspects of the remastered collection were yet to be seen. Below is a video example of the connectivity issues facing the collection from its release, and those problems are still being reported today.
Recently, VG gave a rundown of the problems still on show in The Master Chief Collection, detailing several examples of the wait times needed to join games. VG is not alone, either. In fact, given the status of The Master Chief Collection, it should never have been released in such an incomplete way.

The matchmaking component of MCC multiplayer is bugged, no doubt about it. It’s unfortunate, and embarrassing for such an A-level title. But has been proactive about what they’re doing, when, and why to solve it, and what problems they’re still wrestling with. Is it some sort of face-melting crisis? You can either wait for it to be resolved because it will or you can seek redress and move on to one of the host of other games launching for XB1 this season.

I do not own a NetDuma router however I thought it may be beneficial for me to stop by on these forums and share some of my findings in terms of Halo 5’s Server Selection as I have been working on blocking US servers for a considerable amount of time. This has had limited success as I was still connecting to servers located in America but matchmaking times were longer and I was connecting to EU servers more often however this could be placebo so I needed to do more digging.
I started multiple Xbox Live accounts to check what IP’s I was connecting to on a NEW account as from experience when you start a new Gamertag for Halo 5 you are extremely likely to connect to an EU server for your first games. I used an IP sniffer to check the what data was being sent from which IPs and to my surprise there are around 16 IP addresses that show up many of these are from Xbox Live’s services however some of them don’t send much data and could be for controller settings or armour customization etc.
I now have a few accounts levelled to Onyx in Slayer, what I have been doing is searching in matchmaking and if the game is laggy I scan for IP’s and screenshot the program my plan is to collect enough of the US server IP’s to then add them to the full block list and hopefully this will resolve these issues. I have blocked around another 30 IPs since I have been scanning and today I have three EU games in a row and one of those games was high level Onyx with US players in the lobby, although this has really pissed me off that i has put me through doing all of this just to get a fair game is it weird that I’m actually kind of enjoying trying to solve this problem?
I feel like I’m getting somewhere with this however if I hit another brick wall I think I just will need to throw money at you Netduma guys and demand a result!

Features[ edit ] The five games in the collection are all contained on a single disc and are accessible through a unified interface known as the “Master Menu”. The menu allows players to directly play any mission in any of the five games straight from purchase, or arrange the levels from different games into their own custom playlists. Some playlists arranged by Industries are readily available from launch.
Anniversary also features separate Arbiter and Master Chief playlists which allow players to complete the two protagonists’ respective levels individually. The music and backgrounds in the Master Menu are sensitive to the game that is being browsed at the time, as well as specific modes of that particular game. Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4 are a native resolution of x , whereas the Halo 2: Anniversary campaign has a lower native resolution of x which is automatically up-scaled to p by the Xbox One.
Combat Evolved Anniversary has also received an update to its graphics toggle, which is now instantaneous similar to Halo 2: Anniversary created by Blur Studio , which was also responsible for remastering the cutscenes in Halo 2: These cinematics follow Agent Locke ‘s search for the Master Chief after the events of Halo 4 and have narrative connections to Halo 5: Anniversary; the original terminals of Halo 3 , Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo 4 remain unchanged.
However, Halo 3’s specific controls are not available as one of these options due to the difficulty of implementing them to function with the other games.
Halo Master Chief Collection: Are matchmaking problems finally coming to an end?
To begin, the additions of Remnant Relic and Halo 3: ODST draw nearer, and the team is currently finalizing the exact availability date for these drops. As I type this, the playlist team also continues to finalize changes for our next playlist update, which is currently scheduled to drop shortly after the content update. The new Relic remake will be making its way into the matchmaking lineup shortly after the map becomes available, and will be integrated into Big Team Battle and Team Halo 2: Team Doubles Ah, Team Doubles.

Want to follow the Club TIA blog? Should they censor content on the internet? September 12, – 4: What does censor mean? Most people would probably say that censorship of the internet should be allowed, but some would say that it shouldn’t be. Another argument for wanting censorship was the belief that some people should not be exposed to certain things such as inappropriate or sexual content.
Personally, I don’t believe content on the internet should be censored because the majority of citizens in the United States use and rely on the internet. We go on the web to learn, play, and communicate. Censoring content on the internet would violate what the U.
